~Winter Arctic~
Throbbing pain from cold all around me
My feet burn from steps on frozen ground
I walk and wound, I stand still and smolder further
Chunks of bitter ice pierce my feet, like burning coals
Although I cannot see, cannot distinguish, I can sense
Feel my skin freezing
Turning crisp
Crisp like delicate pieces of ice
I walk the hallway, slowly
As I drag my hands along the walls
I can feel the intense cold spreading up my fingers
Spreading like wildfire, taking over my hands and ultimately my arms.
I continue to saunter, which seems to get colder
So cold perhaps hot, so hot perhaps cold
As I walk I leave almost fluid skin trails following
The coals upon which I walk are draining all energy
Like flames feed upon oxygen
Consuming like quicksand until I am no more
I am engulfed
