Fritz Helder & The Phantoms Play Thunderpussy
May 10th, 2007
"Fritz Helder & The Phantoms don't play by any pop rulebook. They combine the hipster swagger of Peaches, the camp of Scissor Sisters, the anime-fantasy of Jem and the Holograms, and the ego-driven voyeurism of a hot red carpet event. They offer a fully choreographed dance show, casually disguised as an electro-pop show, with a healthy does of fashionista sensibility thrown in for good measure. This is unique, and for anybody wondering about the direction where contemporary music is going , look no further than choreographer and front man Fritz' show for a futuristic multi-tiered live experience."/
--Nelly Furtado
(Toronto-May.06.2007) Hot new band Fritz Helder & The Phantoms play their last small club show at new Pink Mafia weekly, Thunderpussy alongside DJ Sandy (Hump Day Bump), Sunday May 20th. 2007 at the Bovine Sex Club, 542 Queen St. West. Doors: 9pm.
Fritz Helder & The Phantoms formed in 2004 when choreographer and dancer, Fritz Helder met up with fellow dancers, Diego and Pastel Supernova; however, they didn’t formerly become a group until bassist Fierce, guitarist Silk, and beat master Hollywood joined the band.
